My Three Little Birds

Well hey there! 

 My name is Kate and I am momma to three wonderful children, Jax (6), Bella (2), and Nat (5 months). My husband, the Happy Chef, is a wonderful hard working, fine-dining Chef. Lucky me!

This is my place to chronicle my journey as a mom and wife. I have several goals right now, and here I am hoping to write about those goals weekly in order to hold myself more accountable. Those goals include, but are not limited to, getting our budget under control, losing the dreaded baby weight (ugh), baking something nice weekly (kinda self defeating with the weight loss goal, no?), creating systems to organize our life better, and growing my new home business,  as an Independent Consultant with Thirty-One Gifts. One of my goals is an important one: setting weekly 'mothering' goals to stay connected with my quickly changing and growing little brood!

I have a confession. Okay, a few.

I am fat need to lose the baby weight. And I say I've  tried everything but.... the truth is, I haven't. I go for walks, but my poor chubby unused body says it hurts so I give up again .

We are broke. Broke broke. It stresses me out.  Its that paycheck to paycheck, we gotta pay off our debt kind of broke. Yuck.



I baked a treat today and said it was for the kids. But then the two littlest ones went down for their naps I ate two servings of my Browned Butter Blondies with a spoon because they were too hot to cut. Ohhhhhhhhh the shame!

My house is a disorganized mess but I clean all day.

Also? My kids are kinda crazy. The 'we're little and need to get into everything' kind of crazy.

I would love to say I will fill the pages with delicious food and recipes, craftiness unlike any others,  and genius pieces of advice you never knew you were missing before I came up with them. But, well, I'm human. I'm a flake. I get tired. I dream of getting into shape instead of going for a walk. See the problem here? Let's all hope I can continuously wow my amazing imaginary www audience with the fun stuff I fail at attemp on a daily basis with my three little kiddos.
